OSC combines chiropractic care, sports rehabilitation, and functional fitness to help athletes recover, perform, and keep doing what they love.

Getting out of pain is only the beginning. The goal is to help you get back to the sport, activity and life you want to keep doing.”
— Dr. Michael LeRoux
FOXBOROUGH, MA, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — For nearly 30 years, Dr. Michael LeRoux has worked with athletes whose sports place very different demands on their bodies—from baseball players and football players to figure skaters, equestrians, golfers and other competitive and recreational athletes.

Now LeRoux is bringing that experience to Foxborough through Ocean State Chiropractic & Sports Rehabilitation, also known as OSC.

But don't expect a traditional chiropractic office.

At OSC, chiropractic care is one part of a broader approach that combines sports rehabilitation, functional fitness, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, recovery, and performance work. The objective isn't simply to get an athlete out of pain. It's to understand what that athlete's body needs to do—and help them get back to doing it.

“Every sport asks something different of the body,” said Dr. Michael LeRoux. “A pitcher doesn't need the same thing as a figure skater. A golfer doesn't move like a football player, and an equestrian has completely different demands again. You have to understand the athlete, the activity and what they're trying to get back to.”

Built Around the Athlete, Not a Standard Protocol

LeRoux's approach has developed over nearly three decades of working with athletes across the country, including professional and elite competitors as well as high school, collegiate, recreational, and lifelong athletes.

Rather than beginning with a predetermined treatment protocol, LeRoux looks at how the individual moves, where strength or mobility may have been lost, the demands of the athlete's particular sport, and what he or she ultimately wants to be able to do.

That can mean helping an injured athlete rebuild strength and function. It can mean identifying movement patterns or weaknesses that may interfere with performance. Or it can mean working with an athlete who isn't injured at all but wants to become stronger, move better or continue competing as the body changes over time.

At OSC, the continuum is simple:

Prepare. Perform. Prevent. Recover. Return.

Services may incorporate chiropractic care, sports rehabilitation, functional movement, strength and conditioning, mobility work, injury prevention and individualized exercises performed between visits.

Getting Better Isn't the Same as Getting Back

LeRoux believes one of the biggest gaps in traditional injury care occurs between being declared “better” and actually being ready to perform again.

An athlete can be pain-free and still lack the strength, stability, mobility, power or confidence required by the sport.

“The goal isn't simply recovery. It's readiness,” LeRoux said. “If you play tennis, I want to know whether you can cover the court. If you ride, I care about what happens in the saddle. If you're a golfer, we're looking at the rotation, stability and mobility your swing requires. The sport matters.”

That philosophy extends beyond competitive athletes.

Many OSC patients simply want to keep golfing, riding, running, skiing, playing tennis, working out or participating in an activity that is an important part of their lives.

For LeRoux, athletic longevity matters too.

Nearly Three Decades of Sports and Rehabilitation Experience

LeRoux has practiced since 1996 and has built and practiced in offices across the United States. During his career, he has worked with active adults and athletes across a wide range of sports and competition levels, including professional athletes.

His experience has included particular work with baseball players and figure skaters, along with athletes in football, golf, tennis, equestrian sport and numerous other disciplines.

That breadth of experience helped shape OSC's central philosophy:

Your body. Your sport. Your goals.

The Foxborough practice gives Massachusetts patients access to that same individualized model in person, while OSC's Telehealth program can also allow appropriate athletes to work with LeRoux remotely from the places they actually train and compete.

Using a phone or tablet, an athlete can show LeRoux movement from a gym, court, course, rink, barn or other training environment. Depending on the athlete's needs and location, sessions may focus on movement, strength, mobility, conditioning, recovery and practical work between in-person visits.

OSC Fit. For Life.

Ultimately, LeRoux says the philosophy behind Ocean State Chiropractic & Sports Rehabilitation is bigger than any individual treatment.

“People don't stop caring about what they love to do because they get older or because they've had an injury,” LeRoux said. “My job is to help them keep doing it.”

Ocean State Chiropractic & Sports Rehabilitation's Foxborough office is located at 30 B Commercial Street in Foxboro Plaza, Foxborough, Massachusetts.

OSC also operates a location in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and offers Telehealth where appropriate.
